Opened in 2018, El Camino’s is a casual neighbourhood cantina where guests gather with friends and family to enjoy authentic, time-honoured Mexican fare prepared with fresh, local ingredients and handcrafted cócteles comprising rare and artisanal tequila and mezcal as well as Old and New World wines and local and import cerveza on draught and by the bottle.

El Camino’s kitchen serves up spins on traditional Mexican and South American fare for dinner, happy hour and late-night service, with menu highlights that include favourites such as Empanadas, Ceviche, Queso Fundido, Enchiladas, and, of course, an array of tacos.
Weekend brunch provides a reason to rise and shine, with a desayuno that delivers dishes like Chorillana Chilena, Huevos Rancheros, Chilaquiles and Breakfast Tacos, with a special kids-only menu and boozy adult beverage features like Build Your Own Mimosa Kits and Classic and Jalapeño Caesars.

We shake up handcrafted cócteles comprising rare and artisanal tequila, mezcal, sotol and more, with Margarita Monday and Wine Wednesdays on tap to wet weekly appetites, while cerveza fans can also find their fix via a selection of local and import beer available on draught and by the bottle.
ARGELIA DIAZ: HEAD CHEF
Prior to coming to Vancouver in 2017, Argelia was the Head Chef and Co-Owner of El Secreto in Mexico City with her sister for six years and joined the Cascade Group family as sous chef at The Union before taking the reins at El Camino’s.
“I love the team here,” she says. “They’re kind and they always give their all. There’s a real authentic vibe and atmosphere here, and I take real pride in being able to prepare this type of cuisine - it brings me an added sense of joy being this far from my home and making the type of food that I grew up with.”
